MEET ALISON

With over 15 years of experience as a pediatric speech therapist, Alison understands how to provide compassionate support combined with parent education to help children become confident communicators!

Alison is a certified speech-language pathologist with 20 years of experience working in early intervention, public schools, and private practice. Across all settings, Alison prides herself on the connections she builds with clients and their families. She believes that building trust sets the foundation for growth and is essential in making meaningful progress.

Alison is recognized as an apraxia specialist by the Apraxia Kids Organization and has successfuly compelted the Apraxia Kids Book Camp. She has helped countless children find their voice to communicate with confidence. She cares deeply about her clients, believes that they can succeed, and makes them feel safe to take the risks that are essential to reaching their fullest potential. 

 

Alison earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of New Hampshire and her master’s degree in Communication Disorders at Emerson College. Additionally, she holds a Massachusetts state license and her Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the national American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

 

In her spare time, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband, two teenagers, and adorable French bulldog, as well as cooking, doing yoga, and exploring cities near and far.

Erin Fingrut is a certified speech-language pathologist who began her career in 2009. She has worked across adult rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, early intervention, and public preschool settings, which has given her a broad and thoughtful perspective on communication across the lifespan.

 

Erin’s professional journey, combined with her lived experience as a parent of three, has shaped her deep understanding of how communication challenges impact a child and their family’s daily life. She believes parents are the most knowledgeable experts on their child and values their feedback and partnership, and works intentionally to address family concerns in meaningful, supportive ways. 

Erin earned her bachelor’s degree in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph and her master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College. She holds her Certification of Clinical Competence as a speech-language pathologist.

 

Outside of work, Erin enjoys early morning runs, baking, gardening, hiking, and skiing with her husband and children. She also co-leads a Girl Scout troop and volunteers in her daughter’s elementary school art class.
